General conditions

The rental of every vehicle is subjected to the terms and conditions which the contract provides for.

Age
The minimum age is 21; the driving licence must have been valid since at least 1 year.

Payment
It is possible to pay by recognized credit card after authorization of the issuing institute.

Travelling limitations
It is not permitted to pass the borders with the Eastern countries, Greece, Turkey, Asia, Ex-Yugoslavia and Africa.

Extensions
In case the customers wishes to extend the expiry of the contract, he/she must inform the office where he collected the car, so that the insurance cover can be prolonged.

Time leeway
The maximum delay allowed in the return of vehicles is 59 minutes. For longer delays an extra day will be charged. For every late drop off it will be referred to the opening time of the office.

Weekend rates
3 days – from Friday 12.00 a.m. until Monday 9.00 a.m.
4 days – from Thursday 12.00 a.m. until Monday 9.00 a.m.
4 days – from Friday 12.00 a.m. until Tuesday 9.00 a.m.

 

Insurance covers

RC insurance (included in the price)
Every vehicle is covered with a third part liability insurance (RCA). In case of accident, the costumer and the adverse party must fill in the CID form (mutual agreement in case of accident), which has to be brought to the next MATTA Rent-a-car office within 24 hours after the accident.

DAMAGES AND COLLISION (Vat not included)

CDR insurance (collision damage reduction), included in the price.
The CDR is no insurance cover, but a reduction of the driver’s liability in case of damages after accidents or tempted theft, as well as after theft or partial accident, within the limits of a franchise which is different according to the car group:

Groups A/B/C : Euro 850
Gruops D/E Euro 1000
Groups F/G and vans : Euro 1500

THEFT AND FIRE (Vat not included)

TP insurance (theft protection) included in the price.
The CDR is no insurance cover, but a reduction of the driver’s liability in case of theft or fire, within the limits of a franchise which is different according to the car group:

Groups A/B/C/D/E : Euro 1000
Groups F/G and vans : Euro 2000 

ACCIDENT INSURANCE (Vat not included)

At the time of collecting the car the costumer can request a PAI insurance too. This insurance police offered by the “TORO” insurance company covers the risks run by the costumer when driving or using the vehicle.
The PAI insurance provides for the following compensations:

PAI : ( Limit 270 Million ) 4 Euro per day 

EXTRA CHARGES (Vat not included)

Airport taxes
10% extra charge in case the car is collected at an airport.

Road tax
Car tax of 2,00 euro for day. Maximum debit: 21 days per month.

One way
The cars can be returned in every MATTA Rent-a-car office or associated office against payment of an extra charge of 60,00 euro.

Tank service
In case the customer does not return the car with a full tank, he/she will have to pay for the missing litres of petrol. Besides, a tank service of 15,00 euro  will be charged.

Additional driver :

Baby seat :
Euro 36,00 ofr rental 

Deliver and pick up :
euro 13,00 inside city area
euro 0.77 for km outside city area; minimum distance: 30 km
